OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – A local candidate for the House of Delegates is holding a back-to-school bash next week. The event, hosted by Mathew Anderson, a Democrat running for District 50 in the House of Delegates, is scheduled for Aug. 7 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Oak Hill Convention Center. There will be a school supply giveaway, food pantry table, and other activities like games and door prizes. We’re going to have some musical instruments for the kids, food for the kids, a food pantry table for anybody that needs that. As an educator myself, starting the school year back is kind of frowned upon,” Anderson said.
