Sway Place care home in Church Lane, Sway, will host the food festival on August 6 from 11.30am to 3pm as part of Care UK's 'A Taste of Home' initiative, which sees all Care UK homes host foodie-themed celebrations and share what life in a care home is really like. Francis Bosompim, home manager at Sway Place, said: "We’re delighted to be welcoming the local community to our very own food festival. The event will feature a country and western barbecue using home-grown ingredients, line dancing sessions led by Step n Stomp, a fresh produce swap, and a selfie station. Food will be cooked using herbs and produce from the care home’s garden, and decorations made from recycled materials by residents.
