Women set to take part in topless swim challenge to support local air ambulance

Taking place at Vobster Quay on Sunday, August 23, the sponsored DARE to BARE swim will support Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance (DSAA) while highlighting the gender gap in emergency response.
Women are statistically less likely to receive bystander CPR during cardiac arrest, partly due to reluctance around touching or exposing the chest.

The event also includes CPR and defibrillator training using female CPR manikins to boost confidence in performing life-saving interventions.
Tania Eveleigh, events manager at Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, said: "DARE to BARE is about far more than a swim.
