A 99-year-old man has ticked a dream off his bucket list – to get back in the show ring with an Ayrshire cow by his side. And despite wanting to get in the ring once again – he thought his showman days were long behind him. But when staff at his care home in Stranraer found out his dream, they made sure his wish came true. Charles Service, from Stranraer Agricultural Society said: “I thought it was a wonderful idea of being involved with the show. “It was wonderful to see him and especially when he was enjoying holding the cow and getting a smile and getting his ticket for the prize.
