A man who authorities say has more than 20 criminal convictions now faces new meth charge in McHenry County.
Authorities said he was on probation for a methamphetamine-related case in Wisconsin, and on pretrial release for a similar offense in Lake County, when the McHenry County case was filed against him.
Assistant State’s Attorney Garrett Miller said that after learning from a confidential informant that Buccieri possessed and sold large quantities of methamphetamine, detectives arranged an undercover buy.
Miller said Buccieri and the “very large amount” of narcotics he had posed a “remarkable threat” to the people of McHenry County.
Records show he also was convicted in 2023 in McHenry County of possessing methamphetamine and sent to prison.
