Four Cheltenham High School football coaches and six players have been charged following an investigation into two alleged locker room assaults involving a sophomore football player during the 2025 season, officials said. Officials said two football players, Isaiah Simpson and Josiah Peeler, who were both 18 at the time of the incidents and jury testimony, have been charged. Simpson, of Cheltenham, is charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and related offenses. The grand jury concluded there were two separate locker room incidents on Aug. 15 and Sept. 3, 2025. A spokesperson for Cheltenham School District shared with NBC10 a letter sent by the school to the community on Wednesday.
