While many of the Philadelphia 250 events have come to an end, the City of Philadelphia is inviting residents to celebrate the festivals and organizations that brought the city together this summer. In June and July of 2026, as a part of Philadelphia 250, community activations were held across the city's ten City Council Districts celebrating the people who have shaped the city's history. At 7:30 p.m., Philadelphia City officials will deliver speeches, and once the sun goes down, the film screening will begin at 9 p.m. Streets on the north side of City Hall will be closed, including JFK Boulevard between East and West Market Street, and North Broad from City Hall to Arch Street, at the event's start.
