Station Manager Paul Armes is celebrating the milestone with Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MAWWFRS), which is also marking its 30th anniversary year. After considering a career as a firefighter, Paul began a recruit training course in 1996. Paul has since enjoyed a long and varied career within MAWW Fire and Rescue Service. Following more than 20 years as an on-call firefighter, Paul became a ‘wholetime firefighter’ in 2017, joining the crew at Aberystwyth Fire Station.
