It has been confirmed that the road near the hamlet of New Invention near Clun will be closed over August. Cllr Sam Walmsley confirmed that closure will be in place as the bridge over the River Redlake at New Invention needs significant repair work. He added that the “road closure means a significant diversion, particularly for large vehicles” but that “if it's possible to get the work completed then that will be done”. August 3-18 will see involve “the removal of the carriageway surfacing and footpath from the bridge deck”. August 18 to September 18 will “involve works beneath the bridge, including bunding and diversion of the watercourse to facilitate a sequence of concrete repairs to the bridge soffit”.
