[]
KMMO – Marshall, MO
The Marshall Municipal Utilities Board of Public Works gave their approval for crews to begin work replacing a water main on North English Avenue during its meeting on Wednesday, July 29.
The eight-inch ductile iron main, which runs from Boyd Street to Marion Street, was first installed in 1976 and has failed several times in the past.
Board members approved a motion to replace the main with approximately 790 feet of a new C900 plastic main using in house labor and equipment.
The Board of Public Works also approved a task order from Burns and McDonnell for engineering services to replace the filter belt presses at the Marshall Wastewater Treatment Plant for a lump sum fee of $400,000.
