The Missouri State Highway Patrol has announced the promotion of Lieutenant Brian Anderson, who will become the next commanding officer of Troop B.Anderson is being promoted to the rank of captain and will serve as Troop B’s commander effective Saturday, August 1. Anderson joined the Patrol in July 1995, as a member of the 70th Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy in December 1995, he was assigned to Troop B serving the citizens of Randolph and Monroe counties. In 2002, he was promoted to corporal and was assigned to Zone 2, serving the citizens of Macon and Shelby counties. Anderson was promoted to lieutenant in February 2008, and transferred to Troop A, where he served for two years before going back to Troop B.Anderson earned a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice/law enforcement from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg.
