Marco Diaz Monteagudo won the Yamaha R7 European Cup SuperFinale at the Bol d’Or, securing the overall victory by one point. He won Race 2 with a last-lap move, while Devis Bergamini and Ioannis Peristeras finished second and third, respectively. The Yamaha R7 European Cup SuperFinale competitors were once again greeted by glorious sunshine and track temperatures of 40° Celsius on Saturday at Circuit Paul Ricard for Race 2, following on from Friday’s enthralling Race 1. Leading the way on points heading into the second race were former FIM R3 BLU CRU World Cup riders Peristeras and Bergamini, with Diaz Monteagudo from Spain in third. The lead was changing hands at almost every corner, and with the slipstream down the Mistral Straight, even though the Yamaha R7 European Cup SuperFinale uses the chicane, any one of the leading bunch was in with a shot of winning.
