Santa Rosa’s 6th Street Playhouse is celebrating a major success after raising nearly $300,000 at its annual “English Country Fair” fundraiser. According to the Press Democrat, more than 200 supporters gathered for the event, making it the second most successful fundraiser in the playhouse’s history. Executive Director Emily Cornelius says the proceeds will go toward lobby upgrades, expanded parking, better lighting and sound, and youth education programs. The funds will also help cover rising operating costs while keeping ticket prices affordable for the local community. The afternoon featured an upscale picnic and live performances showcasing music and theater talents from across the region.
