Healdsburg’s Troubadour has officially joined California’s elite dining scene after earning a Michelin star for its unique dual identity. The Sonoma Magazine reports owned by SingleThread alumni Sean and Melissa McGaughey, the tiny venue operates as a casual bakery and sandwich shop by day before transforming into a high-end French tasting-menu restaurant at night. The former punk-rock drummer turned chef serves refined dishes like duck breast with morels on thrifted china while hip-hop and classic rock play in the dining room. McGaughey says he was shocked by the award but remains focused on keeping the restaurant’s creative, non-traditional spirit alive. Local food lovers can experience the star-studded menu Tuesday through Saturday evenings in downtown Healdsburg.
