The council said traffic approaching Ilkley from Addingham is being held for longer periods because of limited road capacity on the Ilkley side of the works. The temporary traffic management is linked to work being carried out by Yorkshire Water to connect a new housing development on Skipton Road to the water network. Yorkshire Water has confirmed it is dealing with a burst water main, which has required an additional set of temporary traffic lights in the area. Ilkley BID shared the update on social media following complaints from motorists about delays at the temporary lights. A spokesperson for Ilkley BID said: "Following concerns about significant delays at the temporary traffic lights on the A65 near Victoria Avenue and the Ilkley Lawn & Tennis Club, Ilkley BID have been in contact with Bradford Council's Traffic & Highways Team for an explanation."
