King Mohammed VI will preside over official ceremonies on Thursday and Friday commemorating the 27th anniversary of his accession to the throne, the Ministry of the Royal Household, Protocol, and Chancellery announced on Wednesday. The King will chair a reception on Thursday afternoon at the M’diq-Fnideq prefecture square in M’diq in northern Morocco. On Friday, King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, will preside over the military oath-taking ceremony for newly commissioned officers graduating from military, paramilitary, and civilian academies at the Mechouar Square of the Royal Palace in Tetouan. Following the ceremony, the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces will host a luncheon at the Royal Guard Club in Tetouan on the King’s instructions. Later in the afternoon, the King will preside over the traditional Allegiance Ceremony (Bay’ah) at the Mechouar Square of the Royal Palace in Tetouan.
