New Ipswich has adopted a new policy for wheeled vehicles, including e-bikes and motorized scooters, on town recreational properties. The policy allows wheeled vehicles to be used in the parking areas, designated areas, trails and multiuse paths. The ordinance allows a verbal or written warning to be issues on a first offense, and the possibility of being removed from the property. A second offense can result in fines up to $100, and subsequent offenses in fines up to $250, and possible suspension from recreational facility use. Anyone who damages town property is responsible for repair costs.
