Low Kean Peng being brought to court to face his earlier charge on May 18.
PETALING JAYA : A part-time event planner previously charged with driving under the influence of alcohol will now face an amended charge after the motorcyclist he knocked into died two months ago.
On May 18, Low Kean Peng, 35, claimed trial to causing grievous injury to Zulfiqar while driving under the influence of alcohol at Persiaran Kota in Klang at 12.35am on May 13.
Zulfiqar died a week later after 13 days in intensive care at Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang.
Following his death, his family urged the authorities to investigate Low for murder instead.
