The Cabinet today approved the declassification of the RCI report on Tabung Haji. PETALING JAYA : Lembaga Tabung Haji has welcomed the government’s decision to make public the findings of the royal commission of inquiry into its financial affairs, saying it has “moved forward’ since its pre-2018 shortcomings. “TH has implemented 75% of the RCI’s recommendations to improve the institution’s governance and wellbeing. “TH remains committed to protecting depositors’ interests, strengthening public trust, and ensuring the institution continues to operate with full integrity and accountability,” it said. The authorities said the report’s release was delayed to avoid panic among depositors and a possible mass withdrawal of funds that could destabilise TH.
