PETALING JAYA : Police confirmed receiving a report yesterday about an email claiming that a bomb had been planted at Centrepoint South Tower, Mid Valley City in Kuala Lumpur, but said the threat is believed to have been a hoax. Brickfields police chief Hoo Chang Hook said a call about the email was received at 8.17pm last night. Hoo said preliminary investigations indicated that the threat was likely a hoax, sent via email with the intention of causing fear and disrupting public safety.
