UR defeated Saint Joseph's in the A-10 championship game to earn its seventh NCAA appearance in 13 seasons. Dan Chemotti was named A-10 Coach of the Year for a second straight season and signed a contract extension with Richmond in May. Matt Barany won his second straight A-10 Coach of the Year award and his 11th overall, the most by any coach in Richmond history. Since its first A-10 season in 2002, Richmond has now won 17 conference championships, 12 more than any other school.
