The Quebec weightlifter made history in Glasgow on Tuesday, winning her third consecutive title at the Commonwealth Games.
What it means for me is that I’m still in the game, I can still win medals,” Charron said.
The 33-year-old Rimouski native, who’s also a two-time Olympic medallist, became the second woman to win three consecutive golds in weightlifting at the Commonwealth Games.
Both her lifts were Commonwealth Games records.
In addition to her three Commonwealth golds, Charron also won gold in Tokyo 2020 and silver in Paris 2018.
