The story catches up with him and his friends four years after the events of No Way Home, and he’s alone, fighting crime day and night. He’s a shell of his former self, buried under the weight of Spider-Man the hero, and loneliness. There’s also a detail in the film that’s being treated as a spoiler, and I really don’t think it is. It’s not perfect, but it’s a mature, unique approach to Spider-Man and Peter Parker, with an excellent cast, and truly spectacular action. Spider-Man: Brand New Day opens in theatres on July 31, 2026.
