A man is dead following a collision between a commercial van and an e-scooter near Tommy Thompson Park.
Toronto police say the crash involving the driver of a Mercedes and an e-scooter rider occurred just before 7:45 p.m. Wednesday in the Leslie Street and Unwin Avenue area.
A 43-year-old man who was riding the e-scooter was taken to the hospital with critical injuries, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police say the operator of the e-scooter was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Investigators say the driver of the Mercedes remained at the scene.
