The Macallan opens first UK boutique in HarrodsThe Macallan has opened its first domestic UK boutique inside Harrods in Knightsbridge, taking over the space formerly occupied by the department store’s Baccarat Bar. Situated next to the Harrods Fine Wines and Spirits Department, the boutique stocks rare releases and limited edition expressions alongside the core range. It can also be converted into a private dining room, with menus based on seasonal produce associated with the company’s Speyside estate. The Macallan was founded in 1824, when Alexander Reid distilled the first batch of whisky at the site in Speyside.
