Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Republic delivered another standout performance at the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026, winning 22 medals on Tuesday to increase its overall total to 48 medals and maintain fifth place in the overall standings. The Dominican delegation collected four gold, four silver, and 14 bronze medals, bringing its cumulative tally to 10 gold, nine silver, and 29 bronze after four days of competition. Water skiing led the day’s success with two gold medals and concluded the Games with 12 medals overall—three gold, three silver, and six bronze—making it one of the country’s strongest-performing sports. In tennis, Nick Hardt successfully defended his men’s singles title to secure another gold medal after Colombia’s Juan Sebastián Gómez retired with an injury during the final. With 48 medals, the Dominican Republic remains fifth in the overall medal table as competition continues in Santo Domingo 2026.
