The Missouri Department of Corrections is investigating the death of a 73-year-old resident at Crossroads Correctional Center in Cameron. The resident was serving a nine-year sentence for sexual misconduct involving a child younger than 15. The resident entered the facility in June 2021 and was pronounced dead on July 9th, 2026. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
