The head of St. Paul Academy and Summit School (SPA), a private school in St. Paul, Minnesota, resigned a month after a parent sued the school alleging retaliation. Head of school Dr. Luis Ottley notified the school’s board he will leave this month, with no specific last day set. Assistant head of school Dr. Anne Zaslofsky will serve as the acting head of school. A lawsuit alleged last month that Ottley threatened to expel a student after learning of his father’s criticism of SPA. The Tribune added, “Bauer is one of several parents who have expressed doubts about Ottley’s leadership since he became head of school in 2022.
