She will also play a pivotal role in advancing the next generation of distribution – integrating channels, capabilities and digital to better serve customers and partners. Tong joined Manulife in 2015 and has held leadership roles spanning Asia and Hong Kong strategy and transformation, as well as the Macau branch and its distribution. Since becoming chief operations officer for Hong Kong and Macau in March 2023, Tong has driven significant improvements in customer experience, digital transformation, AI-enabled operations, service excellence, and operational effectiveness, while building a high-performing, customer-centric organization positioned for sustainable growth, Manulife says.
