Police in Busia district, eastern Uganda, have launched investigations into the suspected murder and suicide of a married couple who were found dead inside their grass-thatched house in Busime sub-county. The deceased have been identified as Godfrey Okuku, 31, and his wife, Racheal Auma, 23, both residents of Namamera village, Mundindi parish. Auma was found dead in the couple’s bedroom, while Okuku was also found hanged inside the house. Police have since opened a case of suspected murder and suicide. Auma Nasirumbi, a resident, said the couple had not exhibited any known signs of serious domestic conflict during the time they lived in the village.
