Students in Jeff Davis Parish showed continued academic progress on this year’s Louisiana Educational Assessment Program (LEAP) exams, with district officials reporting higher overall proficiency and increased numbers of students achieving at the Mastery and Advanced performance levels. “This year’s LEAP scores show that Jeff Davis Parish achieved a slight increase in overall student proficiency, with more students performing at the Mastery and Advanced levels,” Myers said. “We are most proud of the gains our students made in math, science and social studies, as well as the stability of our ELA scores,” Myers said. District officials highlighted math as the strongest area of improvement this year. “Jeff Davis Parish is committed to providing all students with high-quality instruction,” she said.
