This is the second season under Matt Viator, who returned last year as head coach after a nine-year absence. “For the most part it was good,” said Viator, the all-time winningest coach in McNeese State history. After spending an entire second year together, the club appears to be in a good place to start. Sibley, who is in his second season at McNeese after transferring from South Alabama, had 60 tackles while playing in all 12 games last year. Trying to build off last season’s late run is key to a fast start, as McNeese will play its first three games at home.
