HIGHLAND COUNTY, Ohio — Highland County sheriff’s deputies made several arrests and responded to a handful of incidents across the county July 27-28, including a probation violation, a juvenile riding a go-kart on a public road and citations for drug possession and domestic violence, according to the Highland County Sheriff’s Office. The go-kart was towed, and charges are pending, according to the sheriff’s office. A day earlier, on July 27, a resident in the 2500 block of state Route 134 reported a disorderly person, the sheriff’s office said. As of July 28, the Highland County Jail held 44 inmates — 39 men and five women, the sheriff’s office said.
