ISLAMABAD: Pakistani YouTube creators are attracting a growing global audience, with new figures from YouTube highlighting the rapid expansion of the country’s creator community and increasing international demand for Pakistani content. The report said audiences in Pakistan and abroad are watching Pakistani YouTube content in record numbers, helping local creators build a strong presence across international markets. YouTube’s data shows that more than 140,000 Pakistani channels now have over 10,000 subscribers, while more than 19,000 channels have surpassed 100,000 subscribers. According to YouTube, 60% of the total watch time for Pakistani YouTube videos now comes from viewers outside Pakistan, reflecting the growing global appeal of local content. YouTube said creators will also be able to change thumbnails for previously published Shorts through YouTube Studio on desktop or laptop computers.
