Since Maltese percussionist Benji Cachia released his first solo album last year, his musical evolution has accelerated and he is currently celebrating his endorsement by Bosphorus Cymbals, a Turkish manufacturer of handmade bronze cymbals. This endorsement offers him the benefit of having “a special relationship and support” from the manufacturer. In practical terms, Cachia explains this means “direct access to tweaking and creating new cymbals I might need in the future”. “I have been able to use my music and performance as a foundation for collaborations with dancers and multidisciplinary performances,” he shares. ‘Just the beginning’Despite his solo journey being extremely active just one year on from his album’s release, Cachia says that “it feels like it is still just the beginning”.
