Emergency work on a transmission tower in Pigotts prompted APUA to temporarily reroute sections of its electricity network Wednesday, disrupting power and reducing water production. The Antigua Public Utilities Authority said the work involved replacing a damaged lightning arrester. APUA also sought help from selected businesses to limit pressure on the network by operating on standby generators during the repairs.
