Sonesta White Plains Downtown, an upscale hotel in the heart of historic White Plains, is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Rechtermann as General Manager. Most recently, he served as General Manager of The Crescent Hotel, Fort Worth, now returning to his home market of New York to lead Sonesta White Plains Downtown. Previously, he served for six years as General Manager of Conrad New York, the flagship property for the Conrad Hotels & Resorts brand in Manhattan, where he led the hotel from its successful opening. Prior to Conrad New York, Rechtermann served as General Manager of The Peninsula New York, overseeing a multi-million dollar renovation and leading the hotel and spa to their first Forbes Five-Star ratings. He joined Peninsula Hotels as Resident Manager of The Peninsula Chicago before being promoted to New York.
