The husband of murdered Fife mum Stacy Mair appeared in court accused of attacking her just three weeks before they were both found dead. Police discovered the bodies of Stacy Mair, 35, and Jim Mair, 43, at their cottage in Renfrewshire shortly before 8am on Monday. A murder investigation was launched following a post-mortem examination of Stacy, who was originally from Falkland and attended Bell Baxter High School in Cupar. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The death of 35-year-old Stacy Mair in Houston is being treated as murder. “Following a post-mortem examination today, the death of 35-year-old Stacy Mair is being treated as murder.
