A Whitestone gang member was sentenced to 23 years in prison for the execution-style shooting of a Middle Village man outside a Corona bodega in June 2021.
Omar Prado, 27, of 20th Avenue, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the first degree in June, admitting he shot the victim, Kelvin Gomez, a half-decade earlier.
Prado then ran to the corner of Van Doren Street where the silver Mercedes-Benz getaway car was waiting for him to flee.
He was arrested when he returned to Queens and was booked at the 110th Precinct on Oct. 5, 2021.
