— The Platte River Rod and Gun Club is hosting its free annual Kids Shoot day this Saturday, Aug. 1, at the range located at 2925 Twelve Mile Road, west of Casper.
Club President Dave North told Oil City News on Monday that the event is a great introduction to firearms safety and practices for kids ages 8–16.
The event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and kids will be grouped by age.
Kids can bring their own .22 LR rifles, ammunition and safety protection, but the club can also provide those items, the post says.
