— A Natrona County jury found a Casper woman not guilty of one count of felony child abuse and failed to reach consensus on a second count, resulting in a mistrial, according to district court officials and defense counsel Steven Iberlin. The first count accused Treto of causing injury by throwing a glass bottle at the girl. The second count alleged Treto caused the injuries by grabbing the girl by the hair and striking her with a fist. The girl told investigators Treto had struck her multiple times in the face and body. Iberlin told the jury during closing arguments Tuesday that police hadn’t observed any marks to corroborate the full extent of the girl’s testimony about repeated strikes.
