Congressman Jason Smith stopped at Harold Fodge Farms on Tuesday, July 28, as part of his annual farm tour across Southeast Missouri. Smith toured the facility and met with Fodge to discuss agriculture issues affecting Missouri producers. The group walked through the operation, talked with Fodge about egg production, and discussed issues impacting local farms. Fodge Farms produces 150,000 eggs per day, Fodge said. Opening up new markets also helps commodity prices, Smith said.
