Known for his seismic basslines with punk rock outfit Bad Brains, Darryl Jenifer has spent the last few years exploring a very different musical landscape. “People ask me to describe the new record, but to me it's just another part of what I've always done,” says Jenifer. Whenever I’d hear music playing behind weather forecasts, it always had this smooth, calming groove. I've never believed you're supposed to play a certain style because of where you're from. I'd think, ‘This riff should sound like a brick wall falling over.’
