R&B singer LeToya Luckett is addressing long-standing rumors regarding her departure from the multi-platinum group Destiny’s Child and subsequent solo career.
The discussion surfaced when participants on the stream brought up claims of a coordinated effort to blacklist Luckett from the airwaves.
According to the allegations, certain individuals purportedly issued a “mandate” to radio stations, warning them that playing Luckett’s solo records could result in the loss of access to future music releases from Destiny’s Child.
Luckett was an original member of Destiny’s Child alongside Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland and LaTavia Roberson.
While the livestream touched on the darker side of music industry politics, Luckett emphasized her preference for keeping that chapter of her life closed.
