The long-awaited resurfacing works of the main street through the Twin Towns is to begin next week. Donegal County Council has confirmed that the works will include resurfacing from Admiran Park (Letterkenny Road) to McClay’s Corner on the N13, and along Main Street through Stranorlar and Ballybofey as far as Lidl on the Donegal Road. Local Sinn Fein Councillor, Dakota Nic Mheanman, said the initial works will begin at Lidl on the Donegal Road and will be carried out during the night. “It will be a mix of day and night works and a mix of road closures and a stop and go (system),” she said. Cllr Patrick McGowan, Cathaoirleach of the Lifford-Stranorlar MD said the planned works are to be ‘very welcomed.’
