Their primary motivation is not hostility to the concept of responsibility, but moral pride in being “allies” to the oppressed. They do not realise the role of moral pride in making that narrative appeal to them. That is, of course, if the moral pride faction are willing to dialogue with you in the first place. But the moral pride faction either aren’t aware of this, or don’t want to know. It’s interesting to me that even moral pride can actually be something truly monstrous.
