A 68-year-old Dunnellon man died as the result of a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 41 in Dunnellon on July 28, the Florida Highway Patrol has reported. The crash occurred around 5:15 p.m. at Southwest 25th Place, according to an FHP press release. The man was driving a motorcycle north on U.S. Highway 41 behind a sedan driven by a 51-year-old Ocala woman. The victim failed to stop and the front of the motorcycle struck the rear of the sedan, the press release stated. The sedan driver wore a seat belt and suffered serious injuries, the press release indicated.
