Liam Scott, who gave an address in Tweedholm Avenue East, Walkerburn, was found guilty of the offences following a trial at the High Court in Edinburgh. The jury unanimously found him guilty of three charges of raping one woman at houses in Galashiels between June 2015 and October 2017, including on one occasion when she was sleeping. He raped a second victim between April 2017 and January 2018 at two addresses in the town. Scott was also convicted of raping a third woman at houses in Galashiels on various occasions between March 2018 and October 2019. Sentence was deferred until September 16 at the High Court in Edinburgh for the production of background reports and Scott was remanded in custody until then.
