These tours are also one of the most enjoyable and valuable parts of my job as your local member of parliament. During this year's tour, three main issues emerged: affordability, healthcare access and energy infrastructure. Healthcare was another issue raised at most surgery locations. Alongside these wider issues, I was also able to help with a number of specific local concerns. For example, residents on Balmoral Avenue in Galashiels raised the issue of overgrown trees and the need for better tree management.
