Dr Christa Hook, member of YES Tweeddale and a campaigner with Global Justice Now, will deliver a presentation on Thursday (July 30) at 7pm. The event, which will be held in St Joseph’s Hall, Peebles, will discuss the scrutiny and political debate over grid capacity in Scotland. Dr Hook said: “To power the AI revolution, US tech giants want to construct huge, hyperscale data centres in Scotland, taking advantage of our abundant water, energy and land, and of governments paying too little attention to the small print. What will they be used for? “Come and join the conversation – bring your friends and especially bring your young people, as this is very much about us all now and for their future.”
